You allude, but do not point out, that in the sad and relentless drive to maximise the rate of return, and grab as much consumer surplus as possible, you sell: 'the brand name'.  Next up, HW perfume, spas, and perhaps clothing lines.  HW Opus perfume - can they brand name Opus.  And while Opus 8 might be a mechanical watch looking like a digital, just imagine the margins on a digitial/digital watch - YES!  All wrapped up in some slick advertising....  Isn't commercial culture great!

Running Harry Winston in a less commercial way requires a different strategy and value system. I must admire the new Harry Winston for the commercial success that it is and will be, but as Purists we all want something more noble don't we? - SJX
