Breaking News : PPro ABR Launch in Singapore (from:Horological Meandering)

21 September 12:00PM Received an encrypted message from MTF last 3 days, to gather at the Garuda, 21 Sept, 12pm. Entering the meeting place... nice aroma greeted us. Zen, minimalist set up.  As we will be receiving the All Black RESCUE watch, we need a 'clinical place'. Agent No. DXXX arrived the earliest, while I was 'sniping' ... Observe the facial expression of Agent DXXX ... seems pleased. He opened up the box... Stared and savour the moment... What

We all have our favourite interpretations of horology in watchmaking. My favourite part of watches is the engine and I'm sure many of you would share my taste.   Embossed quality   A. Why I like the De Bethune DB25 (from:AHCI)

De Bethune began with watches that were heavily reminiscent of classical European pocket watches, sporting guilloche dials, Roman numerals and blued steel hands; though the brand’s “bullet” lugs were highly original. Of late the brand has done an about-face, unveiling a slew of modern looking watches like the ambitiously named Maxichrono, Super Sport and Power. But with the DB25 De Bethune has once again the brand has returned to classicism, and the result is stunning. Click here

Ulysse Nardin Macho Palladium (from:Ulysse Nardin)

This is my first entry into UN. I've always wanted to try one but just never pulled the trigger. I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. I've had this for about a week now and before I bought it I was a little unsure about the oval shape of the case. Now that I'm used to it, I've come to the conclusion that I really like this piece a lot. Since I haven't seen much written about this model I thought I'd do a little review. The box is about what you would expect, nice but nothing memorable. The d

More than a fashion watch, a Haute Couture accessory! (from:Jaquet Droz)

There are enthusiasts who say that Jaquet Droz is a simple fashion brand... There are also enthusiasts who believe that Jaquet Droz's designs are old fashionned or fuddy duddy (borrowing a term previously used)... To these fellow collectors I would request that they forward their comments to this man:   Anyone here recognize him?  And how on earth is he lucky enough to have two beautiful hollywood actresses in his arms? Actually he has had many Hollywood actresses in his arms over the past four

But an 8.80 meter high precision pendulum clock with constant force, temperature- and airpressurecompensation and which only deviates from perfect timing by a few seconds a month is something unique and one that requires the application of construction techniques which are within the reach of only a handful of clockmakers.   But this was exactly the objecti

A new peak at the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Anthracite (from:Jaquet Droz)

and how good it looks! Remember this dial is completely made from Grande Feu enamel which is extremely difficult to do for the color and size.
