Perpetual Calendar from Harry Winston

In this age of incredibly fast and easily disseminated information,
even before any official launch, everyone would have seen the pictures
of the "new" perpetual.
And here it is, not for the first time, but...
It is in white gold. In my opinion, that is already a compromise, in that the traditional Harry Winston metal is really platinum. But that said, white gold it is! It has a GP automatic movement. The very first Harry Winston Perpetual, in fact the very first watch they made, had a more "out of the box" and edgy feel than this one. Even as a moderator, I have comment from a place which must be "neutral" and objective..however, I must say, this is sincere opinion, and NOT FACT for what it is worth. What I do like about the watch, is that it is the BEST rendition of the Excenter dial configuration so far. It is balanced, and more aesthetically correct than the Langematik Perpetual. Again IMHO. Waht I also look forward VERY much to..is to how the winder will look like. The Langematik has a wonderful and totally desirable winder. It is gloriously gorgeous!!! Now...I have NO IDEA, whatsoever, what HWRT has planned for the winder. Heaven forbid that it is a small winding box!!! One other gripe...there is just TOO MUCH empty blanck space at the back of the watch, the movement looks way too small!!! Sigh...otherwise, an inetersting attempt. Then again...this is supposed to be the receding wave, before the tidal force of Opus 7!!! This could just be the purpose of not taking any attention from Opus 7. Who knows!
